4to40
4 to 40 is an initiative to connect people experiencing disability with forward-thinking employers who embrace a flexible 4 to 40 hour work week.
“For Roger, Lesley, Nicole and Shelley, the four employees we’ve welcomed through this partnership, the benefits are clear. They get meaningful work in a welcoming environment. They build skills, relationships, and experience. We’ve seen their confidence grow and witnessed the immense pride they take in their work and being part of team FCC.
For FCC, the impact is just as meaningful. Our CEO Michael Hoffort is a passionate champion and recently told teams at FCC that this initiative is one of the things that makes him most proud as CEO. That commitment starts at the top, but is felt by many throughout the organization. Through this partnership, we benefit from dedicated employees who bring new perspective, energy and enthusiasm to our workplace. Those who work closely with our 4to40 employees talk about how the experience continues to help them focus on people’s possibilities, not perceived limitations.”
“As the labour market continues to shift and evolve in our province, sourcing talented and skilled individuals is becoming increasingly difficult. Leveraging partnerships with community organizations such as 4 to 40 has proved to be a successful & innovative way for Sasktel to tap into a talent pool, that otherwise may have been overlooked.”
“This past year (2017) we finally made the plunge into becoming a 4 to 40 employer and we couldn’t be happier in doing so. Marc is an integral part of our team. He started helping with Search Engine Optimization, but was really drawn to photography and videography.
Recognizing his “superpower” we set up www.reginastockphoto.com and now he takes photos, edits them, then uploads to his website. After we had over 200 photos on display we asked Marc “what do you want to do with Regina Stock Photo? It’s your website!” He replies, “I want to give it to Tourism Regina so more people can use my photos.” That’s when we knew he had become a Stratlabber.”
