Meet Our Governance Champions:

Whitney Beug, Director

What’s the most rewarding part about being on the board?

The most rewarding part about being on COR’s board is being part of an organization that truly cares about the people they serve. I love hearing about the success stories and the positive impact COR makes on the individuals and their families. I find it rewarding knowing there is a high demand for COR and the need to expand COR’s services within our community. I am honoured to be a part of COR and see the difference this organization makes.
What do you tell people about COR that don’t know anything about the organization?

My face lights up immediately when I get the chance to tell people about COR. I explain COR is a forward-thinking organization that instills their philosophy of gentle teaching to create a culture that is heart warming. I tell them COR supports individuals with disabilities and their approach is to create a one-of-a-kind experience to each of the individuals they serve.

“I find it rewarding knowing there is a high demand for COR and the need to expand COR’s services within our community.”

I also tell them there is a high demand for COR’s services which has reflected in substantial growth as an organization. I always end the conversation with telling people to visit COR’s website and learn more about the organization.

Where do you see COR going in the future?

I see COR really expanding as an organization by supporting more people and expanding the services currently being offered. As the demand for COR grows, the organization will increase capacity to ensure their philosophy and values are instilled with every person they work with. I am hopeful with COR’s growth and expansion and trust they will find innovative ways to continue to support the people they serve.
