I’m working on the paper crane project. In Japan, 1000 paper cranes has become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times, and embodies the wishes of good health and recovery. Many others around the world have been inspired to make 1000 paper cranes, and I am one of them.
During this uncertain time of COVID19, I want to bring the COR community together by putting our energy towards something positive in making the paper cranes to wish for good health, and inspire hope and healing amongst us all and our frontline workers. By the end of my practicum (Aug 21) I would love to showcase the cranes as an art installation in the COR studio as a reminder of this time and the COR community coming together.
