Creative Options Regina is proud to join Unity Sweepstakes

We’re excited to announce that COR is now a participating charitable partner with Unity Sweepstakes. This means supporters across the province can now back our mission and help transform the lives of people experiencing disability — all while entering for a chance to win cash prizes.

  • How it works

When you purchase a ticket through Unity Sweepstakes, you choose a charity, and this year, you can choose Creative Options Regina! Each ticket gives you a chance at monthly jackpot draws, early bird prizes, and the “Final Flip” bonus draw. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to supporting our Inclusion Regina and COR Studio programs throughout Regina.

  • Why this matters

At COR, we believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and connected. The COR Impact Fund strengthens this vision by supporting youth and adults experiencing intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

By joining Unity Sweepstakes, you are helping us in advancing a vision of community where everyone has the opportunity to live a life of belonging and purpose.

    Why this matters

  • What you can do

    • Visit UnitySweepstakes.ca, select Creative Options Regina as your charity of choice, and purchase a ticket. Every ticket helps.
    • Share the sweepstakes website with your friends, family, and colleagues – encouraging them to support COR.
    • Consider spreading the word on social media or in your community to help maximize support.
Visit Unity Sweepstakes

Thank you for making a difference

Your support — whether through direct giving, volunteering, or now via Unity Sweepstakes — helps us build a more inclusive, welcoming Regina for everyone.

Definitely not the one that danced away. 🎶

Another unforgettable Sir Dance-A-Lot night!

The music kicked in and the room brought the energy. Big smiles, full-out moves, and a dance floor that stayed packed. Another one for the books.

Huge thanks to @chipanddalehomes for being incredible dance partners, @mamaweyatitan_centre for hosting us, and @cityofregina for the grant support that helps make nights like this possible.

Thank you to everyone who came out, danced big, and made it such a great night. 💃✨

For far too long, people with disabilities in Canada were confined to institutions and separated from their communities.

These Four Walls shares the stories of survivors of the Manitoba Developmental Centre and explores the lasting harm — and resilience — tied to its history.

Join us for a screening and community discussion as we reflect on this history together.

🗓 Wednesday, March 4 | 10:00 a.m – 12:30 p.m at COR Academy
🗓 Wednesday, March 4 | 6:00 – 8:30 p.m at COR Studio
📧 RSVP: tim@coracademy.ca — space may be limited

CONTENT WARNING: This film includes old footage and outdated language that is offensive. While these elements are included for historical context, it's important to recognize that such language is unacceptable in today's society. Although the film is about hope and resilience, it does share the experiences of people who have been harmed in institutions. You will hear stories about abuse, neglect, rape, and suicide. Please ensure you have arrangements for self-care should you need it.

“I would venture to say that those answers… would have a lifelong impact on Johnny.”

@h.o.m.e.society Executive Director, Dave Lappin, on the difference we can make if we pause for a moment and shift our approach to understanding the root cause of behaviour.

The kindness keeps rolling. 💛

The 100 Acts of Kindness team hit the road again, making five more stops to celebrate five awesome local legends who bring care, heart, and generosity to the spaces they’re part of:

• Ashley from Saltine Baking Co. (@saltinebakingco), for their kindness (and the cookies!)

• Ashley at YQR Hair Lounge (@yqrhairlounge), for the many ways she shows up for people in our community

• Amy at Big Brothers Big Sisters (@bbbsregina), creating meaningful impact through mentorship

• Andrea at The Bone & Broth Kitchen (@theboneandbrothkitchen), for launching a subscription box during the pandemic in partnership with @CookingforacauseYQR to raise funds for local causes and continuing to give back without ever seeking recognition.

• Chelsey at Excalipurr Cat Cafe (@excalipurrcatcafe) who received an award off camera. The cafe continues to be a safe, welcoming space for the people we support, and Chelsey is always incredibly accommodating.

• Lindsay at Centennial School, an inspiring teacher who brings patience and care to her students every day

From local businesses and community organizations to classrooms, these are the people who make a difference in our city every single day. 🤝

We’re honoured to host a screening of These Four Walls — a powerful documentary from People First of Canada, produced and directed by Branden DeFoort.

For over a century, people with disabilities were institutionalized and separated from their communities. This film shares the voices of survivors and shines a light on the strength, advocacy, and resilience that continue to shape change today.

Join us for this important conversation and stay for a group discussion after the screening.
